Concentrations & Features
Scripture is at the foundation of everything we do, and our Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies provides a strong foundation in theological studies with the option to tailor your degree. We offer four concentrations to our students studying Christianity, helping to prepare you for wherever God is calling you to go.

Our Biblical and Theological Studies concentration prepares you for all avenues of service or further education in a graduate program or seminary. This flexible pathway allows you to complement your biblical study courses with electives that align with your unique interests. Choose from courses in Christian ethics, ministry administration or other special topics in Christian theology.

Our Missions concentration helps you to fulfill the Great Commission in a variety of cultural and religious settings—both foreign or domestic—or to further your education. Studying Christianity in TMU’s Missions concentration also emphasizes understanding and communicating the gospel cross-culturally. Beyond your biblical history courses, you can specialize for your career with courses in cultural anthropology, contextualization or theology of missions.

Our Student Ministry concentration gives you the expertise to work with students of all ages or further your training in a graduate program or seminary. Along with a foundation in biblical history courses, this concentration focuses on helping you to better counsel students with courses in student and pastoral ministry, Christian ethics and supervised ministry experience.

Our Women’s Studies concentration prepares you to understand and articulate God’s plan for biblical manhood and womanhood. You’ll learn about the historical and contemporary challenges to that plan and engage in ministry to women. Equip women of God to fulfill their calling by exploring courses in biblical and systematic theology, church history, communication, introduction to feminism, and practical ministry to girls and women.

The Biblical Languages minor introduces you to Greek and Hebrew. It is ideal for students in any major who want to develop a deeper understanding of the original Bible languages and strengthen their ability to share the gospel in their chosen career.
