Admissions Frequently Asked Questions
For Students

For admission into TMU students are required to have a High school or college GPA of 2.5 or higher
OR a High school or college GPA: 2.0 – 2.49 AND a 970+ SAT Score or 18+ ACT Score
Students who do not meet the Admissions Requirements listed are able to submit an appeal through the Admissions Office.

If TMU is the first college/university that you will attend after high school, we need the following documents:
- High school transcript OR homeschool program transcript with Declaration of Intent OR GED
- Dual Enrolled Transcripts (if applicable)
If you have attended another college/university as a degree seeking student (not as a dual enrolled student), we need the following documents:
- Transfer students who have earned LESS than 30 hours at a previous college/university:
- High school transcript OR homeschool program transcript with Declaration of Intent OR GED
- Transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended
- Transfer students who have earned 30 OR MORE hours at a previous college/university:
- Transcripts from all college/universities previously attended

Because we have rolling admissions, there is no deadline to apply. However, we encourage early applications to ensure preferred course selection and housing availability.

Undergraduate Admissions documents should be sent to admissions@tmu.edu or uploaded to your application portal.
Graduate Admission documents should be sent to gradadmissions@tmu.edu or uploaded to your application portal.

After a student’s admissions file is complete, the admissions office will send a decision within 1-2 days!
