Truett McConnell University is governed by its board of trustees. The board provides oversight and guidance to the institution’s administrative leaders. As well as identifying, deliberating, and acting upon matters of strategic importance to the university’s well-being and successful achievement of its mission and goals.

President Dr. Larry Lyon
Overseen by the board, Truett McConnell University is led by the 9th President, Larry Lyon. Dr. Lyon’s career includes serving as Senior Vice President for Business Administration at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as VP for Enrollment at NOBTS and Director of Enrollment at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
