“Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20
Truett McConnell University holds fast to The Great Commission, and part of the stand that TMU has taken is that each student minors in the Great Commission as part of their general education requirements.
Students take four classes for this minor: |
|
| CS101 Bible Survey
This class provides students with an overview of the Old and New Testaments, from Creation in Genesis 1 to the return of Christ as foretold in Revelation. |
CS120 Theological Survey
This class gives students an overview of different theological views based on the Bible. Helping them to form their own views on theological topics. |
| CS230 History of the Free Church
In this class students study church history, looking specifically at the movements of the Anabaptists, the Great Awakening, and the history of Baptists in America. |
MI201 Great Commission Living
This class teaches students methods for sharing the gospel, how to share the gospel with different cultures or religions, and how to take their faith into their profession. |
