Truett McConnell University’s School of Music Launches Two New Degree Programs

(CLEVELAND, Ga.) Truett McConnell University (TMU) is proud to announce that its Felix Manz School of Music has been granted a full 10-year re-accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), the leading accrediting body for music programs nationwide. The renewal requires no further action from the university and includes a formal commendation, a distinction not automatically extended to every institution.
NASM praised TMU’s work, stating that the institution’s response “demonstrates thoughtful consideration of curricular goals” and highlighting “the institution’s extraordinary efforts clearly evident in its application.”
In addition to the re-accreditation, NASM approved two new Bachelor of Music (BM) degree programs at the Felix Manz School of Music:
- Bachelor of Music in Performance
- Bachelor of Music in Worship Studies
These new programs expand the school’s offerings alongside its two existing degrees:
- Bachelor of Arts in Music (Outside Studies)
- Bachelor of Science in Music Education
Students currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Music concentrations in General Music or Worship and Church Music may complete their current degree or transition into one of the newly approved programs.
University leadership expressed gratitude to Dr. Gabrielse and the entire team who led the re-accreditation effort, calling the achievement a significant milestone for the Felix Manz School of Music and the university as a whole.
