Biography
Dr. Stacy Hall serves as Professor of Business and Degree Program Coordinator for the Master of Sport Management at Truett McConnell University. His teaching areas include marketing, salesmanship, personal finance, business internships, and sport revenue generation and sponsorships. He also serves as Chair of the Academic Standards Committee, co-leads TMU’s Christian Investment Club, and is a member of the School of Business Advisory Board.
Dr. Hall brings nearly thirty years of experience in higher education, business, athletics, fundraising, and organizational leadership to the classroom. Prior to returning to full-time faculty, he served as TMU’s Vice President for Advancement and Associate Professor of Business, providing executive leadership for institutional marketing, alumni relations, and development. During his first full academic year in the role, TMU raised more than $3.8 million, secured $2.4 million in new planned estate gifts, achieved a 43% increase in unrestricted giving, and secured the largest corporate partnership in university history.
This marks Dr. Hall’s third distinct period of service at Truett McConnell. From 2012 to 2017, he served in several roles, including Director of Athletics and Assistant Professor of Business. As Athletic Director, he oversaw 15 varsity sports and nearly 350 student-athletes while leading significant growth in athletic facilities, fundraising, competitive success, and academic achievement. He returned to TMU in 2022 as Associate Professor of Business and Program Director for Strategic Partnerships, Advancement, and Career Advisement, where he established the School of Business Advisory Board and developed partnerships with businesses and nonprofit organizations.
Before his career at TMU, Dr. Hall spent more than a decade in collegiate athletics marketing and corporate sponsorship, including leadership positions with ISP Sports and IMG College. As Conference Vice President for the Southeastern Conference at IMG College, he oversaw multimedia rights operations for nine SEC properties with combined annual revenues exceeding $97 million and managed 74 full-time employees. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively in sales, marketing, sponsorships, media rights, strategic planning, organizational leadership, and contract management.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Hall is Co-Founder and Principal of Hall & Co. of Habersham, LLC, a real estate investment and development company specializing in commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties. His public and community service has included serving as Chairman of the Habersham County Commission, Chairman of the Habersham Medical Center Hospital Authority, Chairman of the White County Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of the Habersham County Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Dr. Hall is a co-author of Counting the Cost: Raising & Coaching Elite Athletes (2025), which examines elite athletic development from a Christian worldview, and he is a frequent speaker on leadership, marketing, branding, sales, fundraising, and organizational development. He and his wife are active members of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville, Georgia, where they teach the College & Young Adult Life Group.
Dr. Hall earned his Ph.D. in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sport Administration from Florida State University, an MBA from Truett McConnell University, an M.S. in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University, and a B.S. in Physical Education from East Carolina University.
