Biography

Professor Duncan received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Psychology from NGCSU, now UNG. She received her MSW (Master of Social Work) from UGA. Since graduation, LCSW has worked within the field of mental health. She has been in the field for over 20 years and has worked in areas such as hospice, mobile crisis, drug rehabilitation, assessment, as well as providing counseling for people ages 4-93. She is licensed to practice in four states: Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, and Arizona. She began working at TMU in the fall of 2024 as an adjunct, working her way up to full-time staff with rank, and has found a passion for teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Professor Duncan has been married for almost 21 years and counting. They have two children, Cora and Adam. They attend North Hall Church.
