Clearance Requirements
To move into campus housing on your designated day and time, ALL STUDENTS will need to receive full clearance from Registrar, Financial Aid, and Business Office. To receive full clearance, students meet the following criteria:
- Register for at least 12 credit hours.
- Complete all required Financial Aid documents.
- Set up a payment plan or pay the bill in full through the Business Office.
You will receive an email with a link to sign up for a move-in time on your designated day. Move-in times are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Only students that receive full clearance on or by move-in day will be able to move into on-campus housing. Please contact the appropriate office to ensure you are adequately cleared.

– Pets, guns, weapons of any kind, knives longer than 2” total length (kitchen knives are permitted in housing with kitchens).
– Water beds, darts, dart boards, nails, screws, alcohol.
– Drugs, tobacco & vapes
– Posters and paraphernalia that advertise alcohol, drugs, tobacco or lewd/vulgar things in any manner.

Campus housing includes the following amenities:
- Wireless internet access
- Air conditioning
- Wood furniture: desk, dresser, bed (normally w/ 80’’ mattress that requires extra-long twin sheets)
- Laundry facilities

Bedroom dimensions by building are:
- Garrison and Sewell Halls (15’ X 12’)
- Merritt and Otwell Hall (15’ X 12’)
- Cleveland Courts (15’ X 12’)
- Wood Hall (13’ X 11’)

The height of the bed is adjustable, and the clearance under the beds ranges from 3 inches to 30.5 inches.

Yes, you can request a roommate on the enrollment application. We make it a priority to accommodate all requests.

After completing the enrollment application, students are prayerfully considered and paired with a roommate that best suits their preferences and interests.

All residential students must purchase a meal plan each semester. Visit Dining Services for more information.

TMU is not responsible for the personal belongings of individual students in the residence halls. All students should purchase a renter’s insurance policy to cover their belongings against accidental damage, theft, natural disasters, and other occurrences.
