Biography

Steve Brown received his Bachelor of Church Music Degree from Carson Newman University and his Master Degree in Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served churches in Tennessee, Texas and Georgia for the past 48 years. In Georgia, he served as Minister of Music for FBC Duluth from 1997-2007. In 2007 he began serving as a Consultant in the area of Music and Worship for the Georgia Baptist Mission Board where he served for 12 years. During this time he also served in interims across the state of Georgia.
Steve has published articles in several state and denominational publications; served as guest conductor, clinician, music leader at state meetings and retreats; soloist for various denominational and state meetings and retreats; led youth, adult and senior adult groups on tours across the U.S., Canada, and various countries. Internationally, in addition to singing with the Sons of Jubal and The Centurymen, Steve has had the honor of leading seminars on music and worship in Haiti, Cuba, and Russia.
For the past 3 ½ years Steve served as the part-time Music Minister at FBC Blue Ridge, Georgia. He is currently teaching as an adjunct professor at Truett McConnell University.
