Brand Style Guide
The brand style guide provides the information and tools you need to effectively communicate with your constituents and promote the TMU brand.
Our goal is to support the mission and tell the story of Truett McConnell University. In doing so, it is important to accurately and consistently represent TMU through branding visual elements and messaging.
The Office of Marketing and Communications has two primary functions:
- To promote strong brand awareness of TMU internally and externally.
- Support, empower, and provide guidelines for faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of TMU to meet their recruitment, retention, and communication goals.

Procedure & Communication
In the event of inclement weather or an emergency, Truett McConnell University (TMU) will announce one of three statuses: campus open, delayed/early closure, or closed. Updates are shared via the TMU website banner, Truett email, automated phone calls (if on file), social media, and local radio/TV stations.
Delays & Closures
When weather develops overnight, announcements are typically made by 6:30 a.m., with updates provided each day if conditions persist. Even if campus remains open, travel conditions may vary – use caution and notify your supervisor or instructor if you are unable to travel safely. Student, faculty, and staff safety is always the top priority.
