Biography

Amelia currently resides in White County, Georgia. She has an undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Truett McConnell University. Amelia is passionate about helping people move towards the freedom of a sound mind, rooted in Christ. She favors an integrated approach to counseling, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and some elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy being her chosen techniques to operate from. Ultimately, Amelia desires to provide a safe and grounded environment for clients to learn about themselves and grow as a result. Her favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7- “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” This verse represents to Amelia what it looks like to live a life dependent on Christ. Amelia believes when our focus is on the Lord, we are able to battle the anxious thoughts and perspectives that prevent us from living in the freedom that Jesus gave His life for. Amelia is confident that true healing can begin when we embrace the love of God and the power of His Holy Spirit.
